Moving from CommSec to CMC (share brokers)

I’ve been flirting with the idea for at least 12 months and finally pulled the trigger mid this year. At the end of the day, share brokers are all the same, they help you with buying and selling shares. Some will also say they help with research, but I’ve found going directly to the source (Vanguard’s own website on their ETFs) to be more reliable than using things I’ve found on CommSec/CMC’s website.

In the videos below I went through my reasoning and the process I followed to move my shares over from CommSec to CMC. The TL;DR on it all was essentially - I like the free trades for $1,000, so I pulled the trigger and made the switch.

There will be more videos in the future about how to actually buy and sell shares, ETFs, LICs etc, on CMC.
